Welcome to NCRAL
The North-Central Region of the Astronomical League is made up of member societies the six states commonly thought of as the Upper Midwest of the USA, plus the Upper Penninsula of the state of Michigan. The NCRAL has its own officers, budget and annual convention to bring activites and information from the national body closer to home.
2010 NCRAL Convention Information
The 2010 NCRAL Convention will be held on April 16-17, 2010 in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. The event will be hosted by the Twin City Amateur Astronomers at the Holiday Inn & Suites Airport. They already have a website set up for the convention!

The weekend of May 1-2 was the 2009 NCRAL Convention in Cedar Rapids, IA. We will post pictures and notes about the event in the coming weeks. Newly-Elected NCRAL Officers Chair Vice-Chair Region Representative 2009 NCRAL Region Award It was a tie, so two awards were given! Congratulations to Ray Stonecipher of the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society and Don DeWitt of the Neville Public Museum Astronomical Society. |
2008 NCRAL Convention In The Books
The Northern Cross Science Foundation hosted the 2008 NCRAL Convention in Port Washington, WI on April 18-19. Speakers from the region, professional and amateur, were featured along with activies, contests, vendors, door prizes and a banquet.
